Mike Andrews gained hands-on experience with supervisory oversight of a portfolio of troubled institutions while working for the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario.  He has worked with the authorities in many countries to strengthen the practice of supervision, and has participated as an International Monetary Fund or World Bank team member responsible for banking supervision and financial stability in the Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) reviews of Australia, Austria , Belgium, Kazakhstan , Kenya, Mauritius , Nigeria and Uganda . Mike has also contributed to the work of Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the international standard-setter for bank regulation and supervision.
